Overview
Turning a content portal into a guided learning experience
The Disney Wild About Safety Champion Program is a program dedicated to helpinh educators introduce children ages 5–9 to practical lessons about safety, health, character, and the environment. Its online portal brings together eight animated shorts starring Timon and Pumbaa, along with supporting educational materials.
My role was leading the redesign that transforms a dated, fragmented portal into a more welcoming and structured learning experience. It simplifies account access, clarifies how educators move through the program, and turns a collection of resources into an approachable lesson library grounded in the visual world of The Lion King.

Final Thoughts
Learnings
This project taught me how to transform important safety content into a digital experience that feels engaging rather than instructional. Redesigning the portal through multiple rounds of feedback pushed me to balance playful storytelling with clear navigation, while maintaining a consistent visual style across lessons, forms, videos, and account features.
